На самом деле, аль­бо­мов еще боль­ше. Кни­га “1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die” впер­вые была состав­ле­на бри­тан­ским писа­те­лем и изда­те­лем Робер­том Дай­ме­ри в 2005 году. Послед­няя обнов­лен­ная вер­сия вышла этим летом и в нее вошли аль­бо­мы, вплоть до 2017 года, теперь до смер­ти надо успеть про­слу­шать на 77 аль­бо­мов боль­ше!

Спи­сок, конеч­но, вызы­ва­ет мно­же­ство вопро­сов. В него вклю­че­ны толь­ко пред­ста­ви­те­ли раз­ных направ­ле­ний попу­ляр­ной музы­ки, начи­ная с 1955 года. Очень мало джа­за. Клас­си­че­ская и совре­мен­ная ака­де­ми­че­ская музы­ка исклю­че­ны пол­но­стью.

Кро­ме того, силь­но режет глаз пре­об­ла­да­ние англо­сак­сов. Конеч­но, тут есть о чем спо­рить, но по мне­нию авто­ра кни­ги, мож­но про­жить жизнь так ни разу и не услы­шав Челен­та­но, Дали­ду, или Его­ра Лето­ва…
